More and more resume posting websites require the resume be posted in an ASCII (text) format. This step-by-step guide will help you convert your new MS Word resume into an appropriate format for online posting. If you prefer, we can do the ASCII conversion for an additional $15.

Reference Page template:
References should not be listed on a resume, but rather on a separate Reference page. This form allows you to tailor your references to each position. Bring two to four printed copies of this form with you to the interview.

Salary History template:
We normally don’t recommend including salary history on a resume, but if the employer specifically asks for it, this form will allow you to quickly generate and submit this information.

To demonstrate the importance of a resume, compare your current salary against the salary of a job you are qualified for, then multiply the difference by the number of years until retirement.

Example: Current $40,000 salary vs. $60,000 potential salary = $20,000 in lost wages x 30 (years until retirement) = $600,000. The $600,000 is the return on your $150 resume investment!
